The Location selected this year was Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Pasadena, California, U.S. The award show was presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), which was hosted by Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner.
This year marks the realignment ceremony of The Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards, which was announced in December 2021 between ATAS (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) and NATAS.
The nominations for the award were already announced on May 5, 2022. The Daytime Emmy Awards 2022 were given in several categories, as it has lasted for two weekends.
